BC Hydro – Indigenous Communities

Indigenous customers living on-reserve and Indigenous governing bodies that are connected to the grid can apply for up to $75,000 on grid-connected solar panels and up to an additional $75,000 for battery storage systems from BC Hydro. This is only available while funding lasts.

TAX INCENTIVES FOR BUSINESSES

BC Hydro is offering rebates up to $25,000 on eligible grid-connected solar panels and up to an additional $25,000 for battery storage systems. For a maximum of $50,000 of rebates

Capital Cost Allowance (CCA) and Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit (CTITC)

The accelerated capital cost allowance allows for up to 50% write-off in the first year for eligible clean energy equipment, along with a refundable Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit of up to 30%. Additionally, Canadian Renewable and Conservation Expenses (CRCE) can be fully deducted in the year incurred.
